For what purposes do we use this personal data?
The data is collected and stored for the following purposes:
• We use your e-mail address to send newsletters with information about our company, our services, other genealogists, developments in genealogy and international genealogical events.
• When you give us your name (first and last name) and e-mail address through a contact form or a request for a free quote, we use those details to answer your question or to send you information about our services, including quotes and research proposals.
What data do we collect?
When you register for our bi-monthly newsletter, fill out a contact form or request a free quote, we will ask you to give us data. We only process the data that you provide us. This data can be:
– first and last name
– e-mail address
– company name
– street and number
– zip code and place
– IP address
– VAT / tax registration number

Protecting personal data
We have taken steps to secure personal data against loss or other forms of illegal use. These steps include a SSL security certificate for our website and provide a security level that fits the personal data we process.
You have the right to:
– restrict processing;
– object to processing;
– data portability;
– complain to a supervisory authority; and
– withdraw consent.
If you believe your personal data is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, please contact us with a request to change existing data or add missing data. We will process your request within 4 weeks.
We store your personal data as long as is necessary for the purposes we use this data for. When you unregister for our monthly newsletter, your personal data will be deleted at the end of the month.Personal data in our bookkeeping and CRM system are stored for at least 7 years, in compliance with Dutch tax regulations and other legal obligations. We delete this data 1 year after our obligations end.This retention period is extended when laws or regulations oblige us to do so.
